Post 7: Facebook

Hello Friends! The topic for today is the famous “Facebook” and how I see it.

Most people actually have a Facebook, don`t care the age, the gender o the place, everyone need a Facebook to be connected. They used for communicate whith his friend, posted photograps, coment that, play games, go to events, birthdays and even work! posted what they felling, what they eating, where they are, who they are… It`s too much! you can do your life in Facebook and never leave the house, knowing about the people and the world in one place.

Personally, I like the Facebook, I think its funny (especially play Candy crush), allows you be in contact with friends in other places or countries for free and share information quickly. Also, I like see pictures of my Friends. But, I don`t like the people who be all day in Facebbok, looking every five minutes if they have a post or a comment.

I have girlfriends with whom I can`t speek anymore, because when we get together they are looking their phones all the time, It`s make me sad, because I`m in front of them, but they seems to prefer talking with the machine.

That the reason I used the Facebook sparingly, and I prefer meeting with my Friends in person, that way I can touch them, hugs them, Kiss them and looking in the eyes when they talk to me.

I see you next week!

Peace

Post 6: How green are you?

Hello friends! How are you today?

I would like to talk about the environment, but especially how I practice the care of the enviroment in my daily life.

In first place, when I was in first year of my career I made the decision to go to school every day by bicycle. Slowly I got used to cycling every where, and I like it, it`s make feel good with my body and my soul. It`s more funny cycling, and you can listen to music, but not too strong because you can have an accident. It`s a better way to move for the city, and you avoid the traffic, also, you take care of the enviroment. It`s the best, I recommend it to everyone try!

In the other hand I would like to meditate on the environment in relation to the people who inhabit. Actually our Society, especially the entrepreneurs, not worry about the efects of their acctions in the environment and the people. They take what they need for the business without thinking in the consequences, without thinking in rivers, oceans, trees, animals and society. The people think they`re not part of the environment, but they are wrong, all you do afect you`re space.

Well, it`s a fascinating subject and have many sides to think about it, but it`s really clear their importance in these days, especially talk about in the school with the litle boys.

I say goodbye for today!

See you!

Post 5 : My future job

Hello friends!

Today I`m going to talk about my future Job. Well, when I decided to study Anthropology I was eighteen years, I think I was very young and I don’t know what really means. I thought that the work of an anthropologist was in the jungle with native, “Indiana Jones style”, it`s funny but it`s true.

In the real life it’s very different, the most part of the time you`re in the computer writing papers or reading books, is not as fun as I pictured in my mind. But I like it, because you can work with the people with a humanist perspective, and especially since I discovered the gender.

For that I think my future job have to be in the feminism area, I like to work with woman especially. The area could be sexuality, violence, work, corporality or anything like that. I like to have the opportunity to travel too, that’s would be amazing, know others realities, others cultures, others kind of relationships.
Also, I would love to continued studying, but I would like to study in another country, for example México, because they have a great school of gender, and I like many Mexican authors.

That`s for today my classmate.

See you next week!

Post 3 : The best holidays

Good morning my dear anthropology classmates!

Today I’m going to tell you about the best summer vacations I ever had. As I was telling you a few days ago, I like a lot to travel and I had the lucky to do it several times, I have meet several countries in Latino America and some of them I have decided to come back (more than once in some)

But my best vacations are not much about the exotic of the places or the extreme things I did. My favorite vacations were in the 2013 summer, because I went south down the country to meet with a friend in Concepción , who ended up being my partner for a long time.

We went to several places beneath Concepción. First we get to Talcamavida, and old train station surrounded by some beautiful places that we meet with some of his friends, when we camped in these places for long days, having fun in rivers and basically lying down the stress of the academical year. Then we get to the Santa Maria’s island, a beautiful piece of land in the middle of the sea, just in front of Lota. There we had some great times together!

Well, this is it for the time. Someday I’ll share more good histories with you.

See you!

Post 2 : A career -related article or video

Hi Buddies, how you doing today?

Today I want to share with you an article about feminism and science, named “El mito del ovulo pasivo” (the passive ovum myth). The article talks about the way the gender characteristics permeate the whole cultural production zone, even science, in despite of the positivist idea that claims than science search THE (one and only) truth through the application of the infallible scientific method.

However, this idea is nothing else than the naturalization of certain ideas about gender, that assign certain places, spaces and behaviors based on biological sex. In this sense, the gender myths configures themselves as substrates that, when not questioned often, become on knowledge’s guidelines.

The main idea that this article disputes its simple, this society dictates than men are actives and women no, so the study of the human body and the biology must be in this line. That’s the way that this features are given to spermatids who are supposed to penetrates and conquer the ovum, ovum that waits patiently for the spermatids arrival. However, the truth says that spermatids are not strong enough to do it by themselves, so the ovum catches it in a certain way with specific filaments and drag the spermatids inside.

I think it’s very important to be able to question some ideas that rule our society and lead us to think some sexism behavior and facts as these was holy truths. This applies not only for science, but for every cultural production area.

Here’s the link, just if you are interested.

Good bye!

Post 1 : A country you´d like to visit

Hello fellas!

One of the things that make me happier in life is traveling. Why? Well, it’s the felling of constant surprise, the possibility of meting different places, new people, histories, local foods. I do love everything about traveling, and if I could, I would do it every time I get a chance to. I thing I’ve done it a little. I have known several countries in Latino America, and I have tried to stay the most time I’ve been able to in these countries, to meet the most number of places and do all kind of stuff. In this road I have do certain high risk sports, just like bungee in Ecuador or canopy in the Amazonas.

The countries in Latino America that I had the lucky to meet are: Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico, and there are still a lot of places left to visit!

That’s my post for the moment. I’m looking forward for yours to read!

Greetings!

My Favorite Writer

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to talk about my favorite writer.

In this period of time,  I`m reading the novel of the

Latinoamerican writer, Gioconda Belli call  “El país bajo mi piel, memorias de amor y de guerra”.

She`s a Nicaraguense woman who wrote about the topic of revolution in her country and how she live it, being part of the guerrilla, and how that affect all her life.

She fought against the dictatorship of Somosa in Nicaragua, and joined the ranks of the “Frente Sandinista de Liberación nacional” (FSLN) so was taken in prison and forced into exile, first in México and then in Costa Rica.

In this political context she tells how this transform not only the way she look the world and the society, but also her marriage, her maternity and her career, and most important, the way she think about herself as a woman and human.  Also she wrote passionate poems that mix love and revolution with her especial rhetoric, making the reader feel the passion of the topics.

It is why I admire this woman and her courage to fight for what she believe, and hope you`re encourage and enjoy her work like I do. Finally, I want to share one of her poems with you.

El hombre que me ame

I

El hombre que me ame
deberá saber descorrer las cortinas de la piel,
encontrar la profundidad de mis ojos
y conocer la que anida en mi,
la golondrina
transparente de la ternura.

II

El hombre que me ame
no querrá poseerme como una mercancía,
ni exhibirme como un trofeo de caza,
sabrá estar a mi lado
con el mismo amor
con que yo estaré al lado suyo.

III

El amor del hombre que me ame
será fuerte como los árboles de ceibo,
protector y seguro como ellos,
limpio como una mañana de diciembre.

IV

IX

El amor de mi hombre
no querrá rotularme o etiquetarme,
me dará aire, espacio,
alimento para crecer y ser mejor,
como una Revolución
que hace de cada día
el comienzo de una nueva victoria.

X

y no podrá jamás contar mis besos
porque serán eternos en mis labios
para él.
